Hokkai at Home: Salmon with noodles, peas and pak choi

Hokkai at Home with Erik (65) from Leiden: I love fish and especially salmon. Its taste, texture and versatility make it my favorite fish. I always order all the types of salmon from Hokkai Suisan, which I all really enjoy. My children thought I should try other fish products and gave me the Hokkai Freshly Frozen Box as a gift. A delicious surprise with fish such as black cod, horse mackerel, king fish and many more. To my delight, my favorite was also among them: the salmon in teriyaki sauce. I am happy to share a healthy and delicious recipe that can be on the table in 15 minutes.”

How to prepare this dish?

Ingredients (for 2 persons)

  • Sake Teriyaki (salmon in teriyaki sauce)
  • 150 gr noodles
  • 150 gr peas
  • 1 pak choi
  • Olive oil

Preparation method

  1. Thaw the package of salmon in cold water for 45 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 230 ℃.
  3. Prepare the noodles according the instructions on the package.
  4. Place the thawed salmon (keep the sauce separate) on a tray with baking paper and place in the oven for 7 minutes.
  5. Remove the tips from the peas. Cut the white of the pak choi into pieces and the green into strips.
  6. Heat a dash of olive oil in a large wok. First stir-fry the peas for 3 minutes, then add the white pak choi and stir-fry this for 3 minutes as well. Finally, stir in the green of the pak choi.
  7. Now mix in the noodles and teriyaki sauce and heat through thoroughly.
  8. Place the salmon on top and serve immediately.

Tip from Erik: the salmon can also be prepared in the air fryer. Place the salmon on a piece of baking paper in the basket and bake for 5 minutes at 200 ℃.
