A peak behind the scenes with Reiko

In the passed month, our colleague Reiko gave us a glimpse into her work at Hokkai Suisan. Reiko has been working in customer service for eight years and has a lot of contact with our customers and drivers. Together, they ensure that all orders are delivered on time. As a Japanese in the Netherlands, she finds it interesting to find the balance between Japanese and European wishes.

5 recipes with sashimi

The pure taste and soft texture of sashimi can be combined with many ingredients. Our nine types of sashimi, including tuna and salmon, are fresh and of the highest quality, exactly as they are intended in Japan. Our own chefs and several home cooks knew how to use our products and shared their recipes.

Hokkai at Home: Seasoned black cod with mashed potatoes

Home cook Quan made a beautiful creation with Gindara no Kirimi (black cod), string beans and mashed potatoes. Our black cod fillets are not seasoned yet and very tasty with just salt and pepper, but Quan took the fish to a higher level. Don’t be put off by the number of ingredients; this recipe is very easy to make.

Hokkai Recipe: Sake kirimi on the barbecue

Our Sake no Kirimi (salmon fillets) can be deliciously prepared on the barbecue. For flavour, add pepper, salt, garlic, slices of onion and shiitake and you have a tasteful package of salmon. This way, you put a wonderful dish on the table in fifteen minutes.
