Hokkai at Home with Oof

This month, our home cook Oof shares his delicious recipe of Buri Daikon including wonderful cooking pictures: “Hokkai Suisan offers very nice selection of fish and shellfish, which are usually hard to come by. Moreover, the products are packed in handy packages for domestic use. This is why I am a great fan of Hokkai.”

In the restaurant a lot has happened too this past month! Since the beginning of February, our new floormanager Wing has joined our team. Drawing on his experience, he will make the ambiance even more enjoyable for our guests. Furthermore, last Thursday, we had a prestigious assignment for the Japanese Embassy: a catering for a party to celebrate the birthday of His Imperial Majesty the Emperor of Japan. A good party must be accompanied with good food. We were very honored to be the ones taking care of this task.

After the success in January, we again offered our surprise bag filled with high-quality fish products for a discount price in February. With this bag, you can familiarize yourself with the assortment of Hokkai Suisan in an easy and fun way. Also in February, we were able to please a lot of fish lovers with this promotion.

Tutorials & Recipes

Behind the scenes we have been working on a new project. This month we made our first steps, as you can see on this picture. Our chef Kuniyoshi Ohtawara was filmed by a professional film crew of Bureau Voorlichting. He talks about the refined technique that is required when cutting sashimi. Not only fun but also very informative. Apart from this tutorial, we also shot a couple of recipe videos with the chef. We can’t wait to share the final result with you! Stay tuned…
