Updates January 2020

Hokkai Fukubukuro

In January we again offered our bag full of high-quality fish products with a 20% discount. We created many new fish lovers with this promotion, among them Joris from Alkmaar. He talks about the Fukubukuro and shares his favorite recipe.

This is a recurring promotion, so please keep an eye on our online channels.

Hokkai at Home

This month we launched a new column called Hokkai at Home. In this item, we ask home cooks to talk about their experience with our fish products. They also share a recipe and cooking videos of a dish they made. Among them are some impressive culinary creations and fun stories worth reading.

Cateringjobs

We had an exciting start of this year with three very special catering jobs. We catered the new year’s reception at Sea Palace in Amsterdam and that of the Japanese Embassy in The Hague. At the request of the Japanese government we also took care of the catering during the World Economic Forum 2020 in Switzerland. What a great honor!

Marinus op business trip

In December 2019, director Marinus Noordenbos went on a business trip to Japan and Thailand. In two weeks’ time he spoke with many Japanese fish suppliers about possible collaborations, he coincidentally walked into the director of Nichirei, visited a large fish fair at the invitation of the Japanese government, and visited many friends and family. This and many more Marinus did together with his daughter Alice, which made the trip extra special for him.
